#truLondon is back for the March edition, reloaded with a new format, starting at mid-day and finishing the talking bit at 8. Tracks will now run for 40 minutes, with 5 discussion streams, along with the new product “show & tell” and hands on sessions in the #SourceLab, #ContentLab and the #CandidateExperience Lab.
Everyone who has an interest in hiring or HR is welcome to attend and take part. It doesn’t matter if you work in-house, for an agency, a tech or service provider, an ad agency or you just like talking about recruiting. Simple rules, no pitching, and everyone is equal in the discussion.
For anyone who has not been to a #tru event before, the set up [s quite simple. Tracks are not presentations and there is no powerpoint or similar set ups. Each track is hosted by a track leader who has some expertise in the topic under discussion. It is a less formal round table, where anyone can contribute, share experiences or test new ideas.
The tracks this time around will centre on 5 themes. Anyone can lead a track. You do not need to apply or wait to be invited. If you want to lead a session book a ticket and mail us with your title, and 50 words about the session. We will publish the full agenda one week before the event with all the timings and track leaders.
The streams this time around will feature 7 tracks with the following themes:
Everything from the ATS to On-boarding. What is new thinking in the tech world, integrations, adoption, who uses what and much more. A comprehensive guide to the tech stack any recruiter needs to get the job done. This is not a pitch session, more a clinic for problems and a platform for new ideas. from mobile, CRM to chatbots, what is really being used in the market.
Branding, attraction and recruitment marketing.
The latest thinking around talent attraction. Everything from communities, nurture, advertising 101, brand advocates, social media, case studies and more.
Trends and future thinking
With all the talk of automation, the changing world of work and the role talent acquisition might have to play in the future, these tracks will provoke discussion and new thinking on what is coming next, enabling participants to help shape future plans, and no doubt have plenty of debate.
The Social Agency
Ever popular, these tracks are hosted for recruitment agencies to explore how the market is changing, and how the modern recruitment agency is evolving, from new revenue streams, using data, marketing. Expect a wide range of discussion useful to anyone in this space.
Diversity & Inclusion.
At the end of the last #trulondon we agreed we wanted to do more to explore diversity and inclusion. These tracks will feature a diverse group of track leaders sharing their first-hand experience from selection, application, on-boarding to work. This will provide lots of new thinking around this important area, covering as wide a range of diversity as possible. It is not about quotas, more about real solutions and a challenge to traditional thinking.
The Lab Sessions will run for 90 minutes and be more hands on, closer to a workshop format.
The labs are:
For anyone creative. We are assembling our favourite content creators from podcasters, videographers, speakers, street artists and a stand-up comedian to share insider tips and tricks for content creation. Expect to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in with these sessions. The street art is back again by popular demand.
A must for anyone who gets excited about sourcing talent. Tips, tricks and techniques from a range of sourcers to help you develop your sourcing skills. Bring your laptop and get stuck in, searching for that really hard to find talent. (Bring your job reccs as well!)
All talk or is there a real desire to make the candidate experience better? Whilst some progress has been made in the last few years, getting a job is often best described as an unpleasant experience. In these active sessions, we look at things entirely through the candidates eyes, devising process and thinking to really make things better, even if you don’t have a giant budget.
Finally, there is the ever popular “Show & Tell” sessions. 16 product companies have 20 minute slots to show their wares. 10 minutes product. 10 minutes Q & A. There is lots to see. a great opportunity to get to know the vendors serving this space.
To book a “Show & Tell” space please book a ticket and mail us your company name and 50 words on the product.
To keep things intimate, there are only 100 tickets available, and when they are gone, they are gone. Tickets require a donation. Please bear in mind that we are paying for the venue and lunch, and give what you can. The average donation is £50 and £100 for show and tell.
See you there. It’s going to be epic!
